The lone passenger who survived the Air India crash that killed 241 people onboard couldn’t believe he was alive when he opened his eyes, surrounded by flames, debris and charred bodies, saying that “it’s a miracle” that he survived. Violence has erupted in different parts of Northern Ireland for the third successive night, with masked youths starting a fire in a leisure centre but unrest in the primary flashpoint of Ballymena was notably smaller in scale. Los Angeles police have swiftly enforced a downtown curfew, making arrests moments after it took effect, while breaking up a group of hundreds demonstrating against President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown.
