Lucky escape for electrician after 18-wheeler collision

A dashcam video has captured the moment when an 18-wheeler collided with an electrical worker who was working on a stoplight from the bucket of a cherry picker truck in Denham Springs, Louisiana.

The impact left the worker dangling upside down, attached to a safety harness. But he reportedly escaped without injury, according to local media reports.

The 18-wheeler appeared to have stopped after making impact. 

Local media reported that the crash was still under investigation.

Firefighters killed in sniper ambush

A man armed with a rifle started a wildfire and then began shooting at first responders in a northern Idaho mountain community, killing two firefighters and wounding a third during a barrage of gunfire over several hours, authorities say.
